“Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)” by Mindy Kaling

Mindy Kaling = awesome!

… end of post.

Ok, ok, you convinced me. I’ll give you more information. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) is Mindy Kaling’s first book, but she’s definitely not new to writing. Ever heard of a little show called “The Office?” Well, that’s where Kaling really “made it big.” She began by writing for the show, then produced, directed and even began acting on the show as Kelly Kapoor.

Kaling, if you’ve seen her in either “The Office” or maybe “No Strings Attached,” has basically the best delivery of lines I’ve ever heard. It’s hilarious! Her semi-serious, slightly sarcastic and totally hilarious humour is all over her book from start to finish. I rarely like audio books (unless they’re read by Ellen Degeneres or something), but I think I would have really enjoyed Kaling’s book as an audio book. Hearing her deliver her funny manuscript would have been the cherry on top of a very funny cake.

Everything from huge zits to staring as Ben Affleck in an off-Broadway smash hit to possibly getting murdered during a one-night stand to wearing Cosby sweaters and rockin’ them, this book has it all! Everything you’ve ever wondered or thought about is in this book. Ever think to yourself, “why does it take a guy so long to put on shoes?” How about, “are there any dangers to buying cupcakes?” Or maybe, “do I cry too much, or is this a normal amount?” Look no further, friend. The answers to all of life’s questions lie in Mindy Kaling’s book. So, what are you waiting for? Aren’t you dying to read it?

  1. This page appears to get a good ammount of visitors. How do you advertise it? It offers a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to talk about is the most important thing.
