“Gone Girl” By Gillian Flynn

My thriller binge continues with Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl and I’m very confident in saying this is probably the craziest thriller I’ve ever read. I can’t go into too much detail about the book without giving key things away so I’ll give you a short summary.

Amy and Nick Dunne are a married couple. They’re pretty regular people if you don’t count that Amy is the inspiration for her parents’ very popular children’s series Amazing Amy. Amazing Amy lives up to her title, she’s a loving daughter and an understanding wife. As an anniversary present every year, Amy leaves a treasure hunt for her husband, eventually leading up to a final present. On their fifth wedding anniversary, Amy goes missing. As her husband, family, friends, and the public begin to worry about Amazing Amy, Nick follows the clues of Amy’s treasure hunt.

The book begins with Amy’s disappearance and the chapters switch between how Nick is dealing with his wife’s disappearance in present-day and Amy’s diary from the moment she met Nick to just days before her disappearance. So what happened to Amy?

Flynn’s novel is amazing. It’ll keep you on edge until the very last page. Just as you think you’ve figured out the mystery and you know how the book will end, another curve ball is thrown at you. I promise you, this novel will leave you wanting more!

So what are you waiting for?! Go grab a copy and happy reading!
