“I’ve Got Your Number” by Sophie Kinsella

Ever think back to romantic comedies where people met the old fashioned way … bumped into each other in the street or met through a friend, etc.? Well, Kinsella’s I’ve Got Your Number explores the other side of meeting someone … through text messages.

Poppy Wyatt is at a busy London hotel when she loses her engagement ring and on top on that, her phones gets stolen. So, when she finds a phone discarded in a garbage can, she grabs it and sends out the phone number to the hotel workers and her friends in case the ring is found. Little does Poppy know, the phone is a company phone … more specifically the phone of Sam Roxton’s PA. What starts off as Poppy looking for her engagement ring and helping Sam with his emails, ends up with Poppy learning about what she’s actually capable of.

As with all of Kinsella’s other novels that I’ve read, I couldn’t stop laughing the entire way through. And like many of Kinsella’s main characters, Poppy is a bit of a disaster, but she’s also very endearing. I couldn’t help but empathize with her and her many “adventures” in the novel.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great and funny read. Or anyone looking for a good laugh.

Happy reading! 🙂
